Historic Downtown Bath, Maine Walking Tour: 400+ Years in the City of Ships

Our tour starts on the Kennebec River. Find out why this particular spot on its west bank was perfect for shipbuilding.

We are excited to help welcome you to historic Bath - the City of Ships - and add to this special weekend!

Walking Tour Details: Approximately 60 minutes long, just under 3/4 of a mile, over pavement and sidewalks with some medium hills.

⏰ Tour Start Times: 9am, 9:45am and 10:30am.

📌 Tour Meeting Spot: Waterfront Park (Google Maps link), at the entrance to the boat docks. This video shows the precise location. Look for your guide (Meg or Tamara) wearing a green backpack.

🚗 Parking: Both the farmer’s market and Autumnfest are being held on the same day (Sat, Oct 4th) but you CAN park on the street in Bath. Or, public parking lots a short walk away (5-10 minutes) are available on Water Street (also known as the Reny’s parking lot) and at the Bath Regional Information Center.
