The Bath, Maine Brief from Embark Maine Tours

The Bath Brief
for Group Tour Operators

August 2026

Hello Subscriber First Name!

I hope your summer season is going smoothly! Bath is truly a special place this time of year, with lots of events for residents and visitors to join in and soak up the best season in Maine. (Of course fall is a great time to visit, too!)

What’s to do in Bath during the summer? In addition to guided walking or step-on tours with Embark, check out the calendar of the Chocolate Church (our performing arts center) and Main Street Bath for a taste of the other types of events your guests can experience!

Photos (above) from left to right: oyster tasting, the Declaration of Independence on tour, Maine’s First Ship, and Library Park band concerts. Check out our YouTube Channel for short snippets of each of these attractions!

Group Tours Visiting Bath this Season!

First Choice Tours made a stop in Bath a few weeks ago. With an itinerary crafted by Maine Tour Connection, their group tour spent the afternoon in downtown Bath shopping and exploring after a morning in Boothbay.

We look forward to visits next month from Lasting Impression Tours and Onondaga Coach, as well as Funtastic Getaways.

Join us in 2027! Take a look at our attractions and easy logisitcs for group tours and contact Meg to work out the details.

Video Series: Bath, Maine Landmarks: Then & Now!

Hallet's Clock Bath, Maine

With the help of Isabel Strelneck, our summer communications intern, we have been producing some short videos highlighting “Bath, Maine Landmarks: Then & Now”.

Check out our first one, “Hallet’s Clock”, about the iconic two-sided Seth Thomas case clock that presides in the heart of downtown Bath. Follow us on social media (links below) for the rest in the series!

Photo at left: Isabel leans in to hear the “tick, tick, tick” of the clock’s works.

One Last Thing! My Most Viewed Video EVER!

With 400,000 (and counting) views on Instagram, this is by far my most viewed video ever! At left: In the final stages of contstruction at Bath Iron Works shipyard, the full height and breadth of the future USS William Charette is visible, hovering over the Kennebec River, about to be launched from the dry dock. I have lived in Bath for nine years and have never seen this before!

I took the video while driving across the Sagadahoc Bridge on the Kennebec River in Bath. The old 1927 Carlton Bridge is in the foreground of the video.

This was just a “test” run. The ship launched the next day. These events are never announced but is something your guests might see while in Bath!

This is the fourth issue of “The Bath Brief”
